Arrival at airport:

When you plan your air travel to Houston please note that HOU (Houston Hobby) is closer to the hotel and workshop site than IAH (Bush International). HOU-hotel takes about 25 minutes by shuttle or taxi whereas IAH-hotel takes about 45 minutes. The costs are approximately $30 or $50 (one way) by taxi cab and $19 or $24 by shuttle van. You don't need to rent a car. You can make shuttle van reservations and take advantage of a return fare discount for both aiports at this site: http://www.airportexpresshouston.com. Getting to workshop sites:

You can get to the workshop sites from the hotel by walking (20 min travel time), free hotel shuttle (5 min travel time at designated pick-up times), light rail (5 min walk + 3 min train travel time at 6 min train frequency, light rail cost: $1 for 3-hour pass, $2 for 24-hour pass). If you bring a rental car (not necessary) you may want to leave it at the hotel, parking in the medical center is expensive (~$10/day).
